Although the genre says "deathcore" for easier categorization, calling Coma Witch a pure deathcore album probably wouldn't do it justice. Instead, while still rooted in hardcore and death metal music, you can find a very strong doom and sludge metal influence, with the final track "Observer" reaching a length of more than 27 minutes. Lyrically, the album loosely follows the fictional story of an insomnia-ridden serial killer who is killing women that resemble his wife, until everything escalates and concludes in the final track.
