That's the Spirit was a major step for Bring Me The Horizon, as they drastically changed their sound from melodic metalcore to alternative rock, with the former screamed vocals being replaced by clean singing. Although they took a huge risk, it ultimately paid off with the album becoming their best selling record by the time it was released. Most of its lyrics deal with depression, mental health and addiction, since vocalist Oli Sykes was fighting and overcoming his own addiction to ketamine during the writing process. Riff-wise, the album doesn't have any unexpected surprises and is therefore perfect if you just started playing the game and want to practice some easier Expert songs.
